如果您是一位非美国籍的公民， 在大多数情况下您需要持有签证才能进入美国。

　　签证并不能保证您被允许进入美国。签证只是意味着您的申请被美国使馆或领馆的美国签证官员审阅过， 并且这位官员认为您有明确具体的原因而符合进入美国的条件。领事事物属于美国国务院的责任范畴。

　　签证只允许您到达美国的入境口岸(机场或国土边界)，然后请求移民官员批准您进入这个国家。只有移民官员才有权决定您是否可以进入美国国境。他/她决定您任意一次来美访问的停留时间。入境事物属于美国国土安全部的责任范畴。

美国签证分为两种: 移民签证和非移民签证

移民签证颁发给那些打算永久居住在美国的申请人

非移民签证颁发给那些在美国以外的其他国家有永久居所， 只为旅游、医疗、商务、短期工作或学习而在美国短期停留的申请人。

   F1签证是签发给在美国政府认可的全日制学校就读的外国学生的一种签证。这些学校可以是美国政府所认可的大学、学院、专业学校、中小学校、技术或职业学校、语言学校等。在这些学校就读的外国学生所进行的是较长时间的正式学习，目的是完成学校 所规定的学业，取得学位，毕业证书或学历证明。

    签证有效期一般为一年。该签证在有效期内，可以自由出入美国，只要不中断学业，在出入时间上没有限制。可以携带家眷共同赴美，可以有限地工作，也可向移民局 申请工作许可。

    1． 必须全日制学习。注册学习不少于12个月，研究生经学生顾问获准，仍然属全日制学生，大学专科生一一在政府认可的具有学院专科水平的学校学习语言、文科、美术或其他非职业性课程的学生，每周上课时间不得少于12个小时，中小学学生 需达到学校所规定的最低上课时间，在技术、职业或其他非学术性学校学习的学生一一以课堂授课为主，每周上课时间不得少于18个小时，以实验室授课为主，每周不得少于22个小时。学习的目的必须是为了取得学位、毕业证书或学习证明，而不是仅仅为了增加学业背景。申请就读的学校是美国移民局所批准同意有权招收外国学生的学校。

    3． 有充足的经济来源。申请人必须能够证明自己有足够的经济来源，以供自己不依靠工作在美国完成学业，最好的证明是学校提供的奖学金资助或者申请人的父母或亲 戚出具的书面承诺及具经济担保能力证明。

    4． 有返国意图。学生签证是一种临时签证，因此申请人在提出申请时，应表明在完成学业后将返回其居住国。

2、I-20A-B表格，即录取你的大学发给你的“非移民身份证明”。认真阅读表格后，请按要求逐项填好。

3、一张五厘米见方的本人近照，照片背面须签上你的名字。

4、(英文本)经济担保书。一般情况下，下列任何一种证明都有效：

　　(1).银行出具的证明，说明你有足够的存款支付你留学美国时所需的费用。

　　据介绍，在过去，根据申请人的不同赴美目的，申请表格种类较为繁多，申请人必须自己决定需要填写哪种表格，而新表格则可以根据申请人填写的赴美目的，自动决定申请人需要回答哪些问题。例如，新表格向学生签证申请人在线呈现的问题，将与赴美从事商务活动的申请人的问题不同。

　　■必须英语填写 申请人必须使用英语填写表格，可通过移动光标到问题上获取中文提示。填表信息要真实，如有相关联的问题前后回答不一致，将无法抵达最后的确认提交页面；

As for students majoring in science, they may like the better equipment, environment and salary in the states because they are afraid that if they are back some oftheir research can not go on as a result of poor facility and shortage of funding. 　　They are the same. Both of my undergraduate study and graduate study are in industrial engineering. Just that my graduate study will be more detailed and advanced. And that I will specialize in production management, which isa sub-area of industrial engineering.
